Hi
Running vpopmail 5.3.8 qmailadmin-1.0.6 on RH7.3
We had a couple of instances where the vpasswd file gets deleted.
Vpasswd.cdb is not affected.
Anyone know why this happens?
Thanks

I just did an upgrade this weekend to the latest devel versions and I
have a problem.
I setup a new mailing list and everything is working except my show
subscribers and show digest subscribers. The show moderators works, but
not the other 2.
The subscribers are being added into the mysql databa
Remo suggested the following, which I followed, successfully.
If I'm correct, this means the file permissions and ownwerships are ok, but vpopmail
(or qmail I suppose) is looking for a Maildir for this domain somewhere else, but I
can't tell where it's looking.
Many thanks for any other ideas
Thanks to Paul and Claudio for helpin me with my earlier file persmissions troubles.
Most everything needed to be chmod 700, and that took care of the problem.
I noticed that for about 2 weeks now, the default vhost on my server is not able to
receive mail:

Hello Everyone,
I installed qmail 1.03 and vpopmail 5.3.12, and I am finding that it
runs great. Very fast and all seems to be in order. I do notice that
every few days (2-3), a few if not all, of my users can't send mail
through my server... It replies back with a "that domain is not in my

you surely need to remove write permission to group and others, thus I'd
perform a
chmod -R go-w /var/vpopmail
this might already fix everything.
Furthermore, you should remove every right for groups and others in
the domains
chmod -R 700 vpopmail
from /home

Hi Robin!
Thanks for helping!
:)
But now I cannot test it,
beause I have wrong (old) DNS-Entries . . . . *ARGHH*
I think I must do it at the new mailserver without a test,
and must backup very good everything. :)
Thank you very much!
