Just installed SUSE Linux 10.0 Guest VM under XP Host.
But I have problem getting mouse pointer integration with Guest
Additions for Linux.
It simply doesn't works !
plus, it messed up my screen.
Any idea how to:
a) uninstall additions ?
b) make mouse pointer integration work?

Why are so many guest OSes are not working?
such as RedHat Linux 7/9/FC1 and Win98, Xandros 3 and Solaris 10 fails also.
working guest OSes:
SUSE Linux 10.0/10.2 and Win 2000/XP (with DOS somewhere in the middle
between working and non-working, it boots but has a lot of problems)
Why is
Unfortunately, this still doesn't work. (SUSE 10.2 host)
USB is not recognized in the VBox GUI at all.

and Guest OS, and it works fine more-or-less, with the exception of
LinuxAdditions doesn't work.
Additionally, I'm running Mandrake Linux 10,1 guest (both SUSE and

The problem with TAP solution, is that it doesn't works. At least on
Windows. In other words, it is not cross-platform. Bridging on Windows
is very limited.
PCap *can* be used as networking solution. Dynamips emulator uses this
for host networking.

I have been running Windows XP as guest on both Windows XP and
openSUSE Linux 10.2 without issues at all. (with additions or without)

AFAIK: Windows XP Activation only requires to reactivate if you change
something major like chipset/motherboard, or over 3 components at
once, not amount of RAM, and not NIC/MAC.
