eth0 is the management Gigabit management interface. As far as I know,
that won't support MTUs above 1500 – after all, it's only a management
interface, and not a high-rate data streaming interface.
You probably want to have the 8000 Byte MTU on sfp0 and sfp1; if I

Right now I'm trying to change the MTU on eth0 to be 8000 as suggested by
the Hardware driver and USRP manual but I'm getting an error
I'll start my N310 with a 10Gbe connection, screen in as instructed, and
type
ifconfig eth0 mtu 8000
then get error message
eth0: Invalid MTU 8000 requeste
