Just to clarify: do you want a single thing (e.g. icon on the desktop)
that will launch Tomcat and then pop-open a web browser?
You could build that yourself fairly easily using a script --
something like this in a .bat file:
NET START Tomcat/WhateverNameYou
Frank
Context Path / is mapped to 'ROOT'
create ROOT.WAR
uncompress ROOT.WAR to $CATALINA_HOME/webapps/ROOT
then the first and only webapp you see when you go to
http://localhost:8080
will be root.war

Hi,
I don't think there is any problem with the tomcat.
Did you add the plugin properly and started the eclipse with -clean option ?
Check your Tomcat version and tomcat home directory in eclipse preference.
Also whether your eclipse's installed JRE is pointing to jdk directory.
Thanks,
