Sorry about the cross post... wanted to put this one to bed.
It turned out to be my web.xml
I was specifying tap.proto-1.0 as opposed to tap.proto
Versioning should be associated with deployment and not necessarily name
spaces and such inside web.xml
Now I have a stackoverflow exception... y
