good idea.
I should have mentioned - the upgrade was over a month ago - at which time
I migrated the bayes db.
Perhaps I can export/import the bayes db, and see if it changes the outcome.
my gut feel is the even if the spam db is different, the new spamassassin/bayes
behaves different

My current setup: SpamAssassin version 3.0.2 running on Perl version
5.6.1. Everyday I do an /usr/bin/sa-learn on a ham folder and a spam
folder for which users drop emails in. However this morning after
running sa-learn against the folders my nham and nspam have both dropped

My MailScanner/SpamAssassin has been working fine. I wanted to wipe out the
Bayes files and have them recreate and learn again. I did a rm bayes_* and
it removed the files. I restarted MailScanner and the files were recreated
