I'm getting this strange error with my SpamAssassin lately.
I googled for soulution, but none of patches that I found applied
clearly so I reversed every tryed patch.
spamassassin-3.1.0-4
Integrated with exim-4.54 (exiscan)

Run make a backup copy of your rules directory.
Delete all the files from the original rules directory and run spamassassin
--lint - it should r
g for 'meta' tests in the config files, and check for anything
obvious liek mismatched parends in the rule expressions of the tests.

You appear to be running some rather old versions of some SARE (and other)
rule sets. It also looks like you have incomplete SARE rulesets, probably
something like having a -1 file without the corresponding (and required) -0
file.
All of those warnings were fixed in the SARE rules that are valid
