This corrected the issue, somewhere along the line the
/usr/include/sysexits.h file had been deleted from this system. I
replaced it with the file from one of the other Solaris 8 boxes and all
is good again.

At a guess, I suspect that either there is a spamc-specific system
compatability header file that is missing, or perhaps a whole bunch of
defines for various compatability types and functions that somehow didn't
