Hi
I am getting loads of spam about various topics but a common theme is
the URL within the message and that is
http://X7zfqxF7.spaces.live.com/
Does anyone know how i can write a rule to eliminate these?

Hi
I sent a mail from my work account, which i have no control over, to my
home account which i have full control over.
I noticed that this check made up part of the score when it came in
DNS_FROM_RFC_POST=1.708
Can anyone tell me what that check is checking as i think i may need to
advise
Just to double check... all of the plugins currently for my
SpamAssassin installation are located in
/usr/share/perl5/Mail/SpamAssassin/Plugin ...so, that's where I stuck
the .cf and .pm that come with the FuzzyOcrPlugin tarball. I still get
the image spams though...should the .cf actually
Looks like you are using an old version of either the whole suite
(plugin + config file) or the config file alone is old. Please upgrade
to version 2.1c and make sure that your config file contains
everything from the config file in 2.1c.
thanks - seems i downloaded the old version by accident

that sounds like hotmail or something.
Does anyone have a good rule set to stop the Amazon Customer - 983A-987
type emails? Also getting a few of the Starbucks ones through - I have
managed to stop some by tweaking Bayes but they are only just getting
scored high enough - Anyone know any good rules for these?
thanks
You need to restart amavisd-new which uses the spamassassin-classes
internally.
So no need to run spamd (if you do).
Applies only if you do spamchecking via amavisd-new, of course
ahh OK thanks - so after a --lint i need to restart amavisd aswell - no
i don't run spamd
thanks
Hi
I have been manually tweaking some rules to increase their score and
then doing a spamassassin --lint on the rules however it seems my score
increases have not taken effect
eg
No, hits=3.675 tagged_above=0 required=5
tests=[DATE_IN_FUTURE_03_06=2.007, HTML_MESSAGE=0.001,
MIME_HTML_ONLY=
... or switch bayes db to SQL, where auto-expire is much faster
and is no longer an issue.
i would prefer to go this route if possible - are there any good
how-to's that deal with making this switch?
thanks
Hi
Got a box that is pretty quite only getting through a few hundred mail
per day - I would say on average i get about 2 or 3 of these errors each
day. Is there a way to make the bayes aspect of SA more efficient?
thanks
