I'm getting through on one of the IP addresses that DNS returns, but not
209.218.125.112 so I would guess someone is having server problems.

AND... If you are running amavisd-new in a chroot (You are, aren't you?
I personally would recommend it.) you need to make sure that you update
the local.cf in your chroot directory as well. If you don't, then
amavisd-new won't be able to see the changes you made.
