Bug 3787 addresses this issue. I had the same problem with log files (RHEL
3 with cPanel) and resolved it by upgrading from perl 5.8.7 to perl 5.8.8
via the cPanel perl installer.

FuzzyOCR traffic was that
high, but *MOST* of all, if this had been discussed only at the new
list, I wouldn't have found it and been able to install it.
