I noticed that my channels were not updating from the master list over at
DOStech... so I decided to rename my rules folder to .old and re-run
sa-update
I get the spamassassin master cf files, but on every other entry I get

Look for SIGTERM in the log file (mine is /var/log/messages). If that's
there the consensus seems to be that it's a memory problem and can be
addressed with the spamd settings.

My spamd process is dieing about every 1-2 days for no apparent reason.
Anyone have any suggestions on how to debug this? I'm not seeing anything in
the logs, it just dies, and then of course I get bounces back that the
connection was dropped and I have to restart the process. I've had to put a

Anyone know why when I upgraded from 3.1.7 to 3.1.8 my filtering performance
would go down? A lot more spam seems to be getting through since I updated
yesterday. Maybe it's just a lucky coincedence... But I'm wondering if there
is some configration tweak I did before that got overwritten...

I was under the impression that that was they way it worked, and the GUI's

I ran into exactly the same problem and I have not been able to get per-user
rules to work from mysql. I hacked a workaround but have not revisited it

Yup... On the same server. We use SQL to manage the qmail users, and DBI and
DBD are used all the time from packages such as phpMySQLadmin, etc...
They're there.
