is the case, it really isn't specific
to OpenVZ...as you'd have the same problem using physical machines.
I believe there are a few ways to do it... with Apache reverse proxy being the
most common solution I think.

helps.
Also there aren't any virtual consoles in a container so maybe it is getting
stuck trying to start those up. On newer distros that use upstart, I have to
remove the events for the ttys. I'm don't recall how to stop that in CentOS.
I would think /etc/inittab? Since the i
process, is there

I don't really understand your question. Did you compile your own kernel and
are asking how to install it?

Make sure SELinux is off.
Add the openvz repo.
Install the ovzkernel.
Edit /etc/sysctl.conf.
Reboot to the ovzkernel.
Install the vzctl and vzquota.
Download some OS Templates to /vz/template/cache/.
Create some containers.

loper in
the states to work on LXC in the mainline. I haven't seen too much info on
that yet... but yeah, the long-term future of containers in Linux is LXC. I
don't really recommend LXC now unless you don't mind the bleeding-edge with
bumps in the road.

ted out... if /etc/mtab is not a symlink to /proc/mounts, make it
one and it'll probably work for you again.

So, what host node distro are you planning on using? I'd recommend using the
RHEL6-based OpenVZ kernel if at all possible. If you haven't done so already,
I strongly recommend you setup a system and give it a try for yourself... and
do some testing. If you find any bugs report them to bugz
it is clear enough.

Not much... and no /dev/pts so that's the problem with the fix given in the
