Until then I hesitate to make any updates, especially to El Capitan.

regardless of commonality data in the related row.
I can't understand how to get around the subgrouping problem.

I've used Apache Open Office Writer on Ubuntu and since 2013 on OSX and
have had no problems. I just make sure to save as ms .doc for
compatibility when sharing with others.

Yes, it does. Five years ago, I switched to Mac from a PC with Linux
operating system and was able to transfer all my Open Office files over
with no problem.

he has a
mac air like mine and has the same problem. Sometimes it presents data
differently, upside down, etc. It's quirky, but can resolve itself on it's
own or I can also power down and restart.

This is a generic help message. The message I received wasn't sent to

Thanks, that's good to know. . .
For Mac OS users, click security options: remove personal information on
saving.
Preferences>security>security options and warnings > Security options
A bit redundant but I also enabled, security warning: Warn if documents
contain recorded changes, versions, hidde
dy of knowledge, then don't reply at all.
Allowing such remarks is off putting to others, enough to prevent someone
from future contributions or asking of help.

Fabulous, thank you so much. Someone also wrote to me off list and
explained how to use the help text, that's the "?" on the tool bar. Very
useful info, I'll be using in future.

Hello,
I am have been posting email addresses to a column of cells in a
spreadsheet. The addresses appear as a link when I enter the data. I don't
want them as a link but merely as a text of their address.
how does one disable the default of making them email links?
Brian, Thanks so much and for the quick response! This works perfectly,
just wished I had asked sooner as I struggled over time to delete and
retype to make corrections, etc.
Many thanks,
Rochelle
