File locked for editing by unknown user

I've just activated the RansomeWare option in my AntiVirus program and now get the message "File locked for editing by unknown user" when I try to open an existing text or spreadsheet. I can open a copy, edit that, and save it with a new file name. But how can I unlock my files to continue using th
