Help please!
I am in Open Office Calc and a dialogue box has kept appearing saying "The
document you are about to export has one or more protected items with password
that cannot be exported. Please retype your password to be able to export your
document" I AM NOT TRYING TO EXPORT MY DOCUME

I have a Mac and have recently updated to their latest version Catalina.
Apache will not work as i am told I need a later version.
Can you help please.

access to my Apache Open Office files.
I currently have Open Office version 4.
Apple support have advised me to contact you to ask if Apache Open Office is
compatible with Apple OS Catalina?

I upgraded to 4.1.7 (no coffee going from memory) before switching to Catalina.
Yes, one must always be aware of Gatekeeper when upgrading OO.

Yes, it is compatible.
How are you trying to open your files? Are you starting OpenOffice and then
find the Recent File list doesn’t contain the file(s) you wish to open? If you
click on the file folder icon next to Open... on OpenOffice StartUp menu can
you find the file(s) and then ope

Typing into a cell, I was modifying an old document. I didn't note wether it
was text or figures, it happened quite a few times over the last two days so I
am sure it was probably both , it could have been either. After cancelling
about three times each time it appeared it would go

All Open Text items, including Text and Spreadsheets the two I use most
frequently.
The background is now Black

suggestions I will look further. It was in .xls and I haven't checked what it

You can change the background color at
OpenOffice > Preferences > OpenOffice (group) > Appearance
(That's the sequence on a Mac. Windows might be different.)
For the "Document background" selection, choose Automatic (above Black in
the list).

I'm a Windows and Linux user. Should the background of the margin area as
well as the area where the text is, change?
Could someone cover how to do that?
