I am not exactly a klutz, but I am far from "highly proficient," and I have
been using OO comfortably with no problems on both Snow Leopard and Lion Macs.
I do not have Mavericks. Anyway, I highly recommend both Mac and OO for
ordinary people use.

It's easy to install AOO on OSX. Just remember the first time running it you
will need to "Right" click or "Control" click the icon to open it and let the
OS know that it is okay to run the software. Since AOO doesn't come from the
App store it isn't in the OS's library of okay softwar
It is also important to install AOO from it's website, not through another
site.
With that said, I have used AOO on OSX Mountain Lion and recently the
upgrade to Maverick. I've not had any problems to date and share files with
other Mac and MS users However, I've only been a mac user for a few
mo
It's just as easily set up and run on a Mac as it is on a PC.
