Good Morning Group,
I'm one of the long time "Silent Majority" groupies on this forum or
listserv.
At this point in time, I am surprised at how well AOO 4.1 works in spite
of my overall system Win7x64 bit, which doesn't work because I messed it
up.
I feel for those who have been unable to unt

I created and saved a spreadsheet, 'ods' ,document. When I try to read it using
my cygwin alias "alias ods='/ProgramFiles86/OpenOffice\ 4/program/scalc.exe'"
it (basically) says "what's that" but when I use open office directly and use
"Recent Documents" it seems to have no problem.
Greetings All,
Here's (imho) another example of the symptoms of the coding flaws inherent
in the present OOo software suite. You do something according to one set of
seemingly-valid protocols & get one result (or, perhaps, non-result), & then
you do it according to another set of also-valid p

I have been quietly watching the notes back and forth and have only once or
twice ventured into the writing and reading space of this list. Once, someone
told me I digressed too much and that I was wrong for having bothered everyone
with my verbiage. I was like "wow, dude. I thought the listserv

Does anyone else care to post a "holier than thou" note, or we done
for the night? Anyone? Let's get it all out. Then those who remain

This is an embarrassment for me. I checked and checked and found out that I
had copied the same directory in two places and had one shell in one folder
and another in another. And so, being the Great And Wonderful (smart and
clever also) person that I am, I exported my pdf file into one folder and

I want to ensure clarification of my oped:
I never said I was holier than thou. I said, "play nice kids. The world is

Snarks not needed.
And, fyi, you weren't diagnosing or helping anyone with the comments you were
making. If you were, I wouldn’t have penned my missive. Want to go a
