the last time you saved. I haven't had this happen with Writer
documents, but I have had odd things happen years ago with another
program and did end up finding my document in a temp folder.

When you saved the file(s), in what folder did you save them? What did you name
the file(s)? In what format (extension) did you save the file(s)?
The default is generally ‘untitled 1.odt’ in whatever folder you last saved a
text file. That folder will most likely be in the ‘Documents’ fol
I am setting down my part in our family’s history. After 3 days of typing in
details and saving frequently, the Writer document has disappeared.
I am running OS 10.14.6 and AOO 4.1.11. I have not shut down my iMac over
those 3 days.

Until recently I was able to open multiple documents and edit them just by
clicking on them. Now I am given the choice to open documents in read only or
open copy to edit. In the latter I can only open one document at a time. How do
