The situation is this: we have this program installed at work, but large XLSM
files cannot be opened. Tell me, what could be the problem?

Wow! Thirty years ago mainframe computers had a word processor named Textedit.
You had to tell it exactly what to do.
For example: a 24 "bae" "bea"

Oמ OS X one has the TextEdit writer. A very simple and easy to use word
processor, which comes with the Mac. A more soffsticated software is Mellel
which should be bought in the App store.
