version of Apache OpenOffice from https://www.openoffice.org/?
I assume that you're opening a .odt file? Does the same problem happen
with all of your .odt files?

Probably has to do because the mac you send it to has no file-linkage
(or OpenOffice on them). Make sure the other mac has OpenOffice, and
also make sure that the ODT files are linked to OpenOffice.
