Hello Michele,
The base component is created to talk to database through odbc or Jdbc
interfaces. Apache OpenOffice ships an embedded database which base talks
directly to.
You are welcome to help improve Apache OpenOffice. However development is

perfect. It usually works fine for simple docum

You don't mention your OS; but if it is Windows 10 there have been
issues with Windows updates causing AOO to crash.
Try forcing Windows to install all updates and see what happens.

No idea what you mean. Tell us the steps you perform when you do it
manually, if you can't explain it can't be automated.

Apache OpenOffice does not import/read Microsoft Works files.
LibreOffice can import/read _some_ Microsoft Works files.

I believe the question was about Microsoft Works files, not Office. I

This is neither rocket surgery nor brain science.
Go to Open Office Help by pressing F1.
Click the INDEX tab.
On the search line, "*superscript text*".
Press the Display radio button.
Follow the directions which come up in the right panel.

Hi,
do not try to manage footnotes manually. Simple use menu "Insert", item
"Footnote/Endnote" at the place in the text, which should get the
reference to the footnote, and you get these numbers automatically.
