I tried unsuccessfully several times to download
Apache_OpenOffice_4.1.2_MacOS_x86-64_install_en-US.dmg from your site. At
first, it looked like it was downloading but afterward I was unable to find it
in my downloads. Finally, I kept the download file window open while it was
downloading, so

By that I meant that Word and OpenOffice['s Writer] aren't quite the same,
but the latter stood in for the former.
Word is the standard, because whoever opens your file just sees the .doc or
.docx at the end. They know little and care less that you actually
used OpenOffice['s Writer].
