Depending on what OS your are using it is either OO Writer or Word. Not all
version of Word docs can be read by Writer. I ah been banging on the doors of
bugzilla about this and have given up. Good Luck to you!!

You didn't say what version of Office you are running. Knowing M$Soft your
version may not be compatible with Widows 10 ( which I am avoiding like the

Dear Sir/Madam,
Please would it be possible to help. I have been experiencing problems when
trying to save documents. When I try to open them I am asked what I want to
open it with. This is despite saving it either as word document or .odt
document. Thanks in anticipation of your help.
