I found that with both version 4.1.1 and 4.1.2 of OpenOffice the basic spreadsheet used cells that were incredibly small and the text size was equally small to fit the cells. This led me to have to reformat the sheet prior to use so that I could see what I was doing. I have therefore reverted to
