Use the 32 bit version. It will run fine.

I use Win 7 HP and had no issues downloading OO 4.1.1 to my machine.

What version of Apache OpenOffice did you last use successfully with that
document?
Did you install a newer version of Apache OpenOffice or did you have some other
updates to your MacBook Pro?

Probably you should. There were 89 bug reports resolved in 4.1.1, 314
resolved in 4.1.0, 90 in 4.0.1, and over 500 in 4.0.0--that's a lot of

I am a OO user, LibreOffice User and Apache Office user, I am not sure
you can download the software *OVER* the other one, but your documents
will not be lost. My experience is that you can open Odt files with all
OpenOffice "derived" versions.
