I am part of a group who writes SANE Backend.
We observed that,
1) OpenOffice* is not showing our localized strings*(from our .mo files) in
the Scanner UI.
It is always showing in English.
2) XSANE shows our localized strings correctly.
Can anybody help us to understand what is missi

No concrete answers, but, off hand, it sounds like AOO thinks that every
word is spelled incorrectly. Make certain that you have the proper
dictionaries installed and that the language is set correctly on text.

I had that problem and I solved it by right clicking on the file name
(inside the folder) and choosing the "open with" option. You will then
be given a menu showing all the possible programs available on your
computer that might possibly open that file. Choose the Open Office
program that match
I would recomend to use links so that the link field will go into the
picture object.
