OpenOffice is not picking localized strings from SANE backend

Hi All, I am part of a group who writes SANE Backend. We observed that, 1) OpenOffice* is not showing our localized strings*(from our .mo files) in the Scanner UI. It is always showing in English. 2) XSANE shows our localized strings correctly. Can anybody help us to understand what is missi

I had that problem and I solved it by right clicking on the file name (inside the folder) and choosing the "open with" option. You will then be given a menu showing all the possible programs available on your computer that might possibly open that file. Choose the Open Office program that match
