OpenOffice has a much simpler way than Microsoft Word.
Headers and Footers are part of the Page Style, Just use a different
Page Style if you want to change.

I think what he/she meant is something like what Microsoft Office has,
which unfortunately is not the case in AOO. AOO sends the document to
the mail client as an attachment as opposed to email body.
This makes it hard for a resume user to email his content seamlessly.

In my experience, OOW will not open WP documents, but Libre Office, also freely
available, does do so.

Remember there is also the '$' to fix the range to either a row or a
cell. In the event you move your range, it will stick to the initial
cell.
Example:
$A11 -> will stick to column A
A$11 -> will stick to row 11
$A$11 -> will stick to both column A and row 11.
