I agree entirely. If there is an official site, NEVER EVER download from
a third party. This applies not only to Open Office but to all software.
I got caught once, and that was enough to put me off using third party
sources forever.

I download Apache OO and is full of malaware, I had to format my HD and
reinstall Win. Someone do this I do not know if its in Download sites or in
the participation. How evevr I do not install any more OO. sorry, before
Apache, was a very good alternative.

However this is not actually true as am stuck on OS X 10.5.8 (leopard)
for which AOO 4.1 is incompatible.
Not sure how these things work, but if they sense the OS it would seem
desirable to stop such reminder

but in the end the openoffice 3 is still there.
