Dear Sir / Mdm,
How is it that the downloaded application file for Window and Mac OS is the
same file Apache_OpenOffice_4.1.0_Win_x86_install_en-US?
Is there another application file for Mac?
Thank you

Hello,
I’m in the UK. I’ve downloaded OO 4.1.0 from Sourceforge.net. McAfee gave me

Help please.

Dear Jürgen,
I downloaded AOO 4.1.0 and after installation of the full product, nothing
worked...
I used Firefox for the download (not Internet Explorer, which causes so
much trouble these days).
I have it uninstalled as completely as I can. Later today I'll give it
another try.
Kind regards,

Please just to be sure:
This is now (29.04.2014 13:50 MESZ) official?
If so (I think this is so)
I just downloaded the latest Open Office but my OSX Maverick system tells
me I am not allowed to open it because it's from an unauthorized developer.
Yet I have been using the previous version of Open Office. Can this be
fixed? If not, can I download the previous version of Open Office?
Thank you
Hi Juergen,
Downloaded the latest release but wont let me install it.

Your initial message has arrived blank in my mailbox for some reason.
However following up on Brian's response, here is how to change the
default font in Writer on your macbook.
Open a new document.
Control click to open the 'right click' dialogue (the equivalent on a
macbook).

I confirm this is correct. Both http://www.openoffice.org and

Do a search and replace, search for [a-z0-9], replace with x, use "regular
expression" in "More Options" and hit replace all. Should be enough to
completely garble the document without destroying format.
