I've also come across this issue in 12.0u1 (status of 12.0 unknown) , it
appears to be fixed in 12.1.
NetBeans versions: 12.0u1,
First of all, do we have the issue identified? The fix in 12.1 could be
a byproduct of other changes. We are planning to have a 12.0-u2
somewhere in the near future, if there would be a fix for this issue,
then it could be released with that. But first of all we shall need more

Surely, to "cross thread" perhaps against normal practice, the argument
that was presented in the "12.1?" thread ("it's not an update, it's a
feature release") doesn't stand up when the suggestion for fixing a bug
in an LTS release ("extensively tested") is "can you reproduce it in
the non-LTS vers
I've just installed 12.1, and everything looks to be back in order so far.
I'll let you all know if this changes.
