so of course NetBeans is not able to "execute" it.
It seems you're missing the path to the compiler you want to use. In my
box this is "CYGWIN\bin\c++.exe".

AFAIK the debugger can do this. Just add a breakpoint and then take a
look at the rest of running threads, to see what they're doing.
