openMPI.
I have searched FAQ and archived mail, but I couldn't find a good answer.
There are some references to this question, in the developer mailing list with

I like to find out, if there is a real difference in openMPI performance
(latency) when it runs under Redhat Linux with MRG kernel installed.
Redhat claims that its MRG Grid Support for a wide variety of tasks, ranging
from sub-second calculations to long-running, highly parall
ight now to really support AIX. As you have noted, the problem is with the
io forwarding subsystem - a considerable issue.
We will revise the web site to indicate this situation. We will provide an
announcement of any change in that status.

OpenMPI output issues when using IBM AIX 5.3
We have recently installed OpenMPI 1.1.2 (see attacched, ompi_inf -a output for
detail).
on an IBM AIX 5.3. We had no problem during installation and configration.
"ompi_info -a" runs with no problem.
