Most of the time, when the Gnome 3 shell blanks the screen after the 10 minute delay, I can get back in by wiggling the mouse a bit. Almost every morning, however, all wiggling the mouse does is show the top bar (with the time showing the time that the screensaver kicked in the prior night).
