I've been using Exaile in F13 and 14 for a while. In 13, the shoutcast
list of genres seemed "correct", in that expanding a folder (genre) to
browse the stations always worked.
I listen to drum and bass quite a bit, and in F13 this was listed as
"DnB". In F14, this is listed as "Drum and

My laptop (ThinkPad T420) is set up to use encrypted lvm, so when I
start it up I am prompted to enter my encryption passphrase.

Secure Book can be disabled?
Or would one just enter a BIOS-like config screen before any disc
activity and disable it?

panel?

It kinda sounds like a lack of memory, a corrupt install, corrupt disk
or any combination thereof.
It would seem the easiest route is to reinstall, ensuring your system
meets the minimum requirements (if it doesn't already).

(which is why I got it). No need to enable 3rd party repos and load in
unfinished drivers.
The Intel HD3000 graphics fine for general productivity tasks, IMHO.
