I see emacs has been updated to 24.3. I'm pretty sure I don't want it. I have
built/installed 24.3 earlier, and found some problems. Specifically, tramp
doesn't seem to work (hangs), and I need it.
Any thoughts on how I might be able to do a yum update, and then backout if I
don't like it?
I suspect colored prompts are confusing emacs tramp. What's the easiest way to
turn it off for all users (especially root)?

In recent fedoras, core dumps seem to be intercepted and handled by abrtd.
What if I want my core dump of my code?

I have libreoffice suite installed on F29. When I try to insert an image
into a writer doc (pdf), I get the rather non-informative message "Image
Filter not found".
Something is very broken with this F29 installation. I'm sure this worked
on F28. I have libreoffice-pdfimport installed.

After attempting today's updates, the system is almost unusable. The
problems seem to be caused by journal. I see messages like the above.
I tried rm /var/log/journal//* hoping it would clear up. But after
several reboots I still see such messages.

I got working again by deleting a bunch of files. I think there is some
other way I can get more metadata space for btrfs, but not sure about that.

Today's update, which wanted to install dnf-utils, failed due to conflicts
with yum-utils. I was able to remove yum-utils and then transactions
completed.
