Hi all,
I upgraded yesterday from Fedora 14 -> 15, and now I am having problems
with my desktop:
Gnome does not start under RealVnc (Enterprise edition, 4.6.1).
What I get is a big image, and a message "oh no! something has gone
wrong", with a prompt to logout and try again.
Looking at the xses

Hi all,
I am trying to upgrade my FC19 system to FC20.
So, I installed fedup (it was installed, and updated to the latest
0.8.0-3.fc19 anyway).
I ran |fedup --network 20, which completed without errors. I reported
that a few packages will not be updated (adobe acrobat, elastic search,
etc).

Hi all,
I cannot manage to get fedora 19 to start a vnc server on reboot.
I have tried various approaches:
a) edit /etc/systemd/system/vncserver@:1.service
It does not work. It kills any vncserver I am running at :1, but *never*
starts a new one.
systemctrl status vncserver@:1.service reports t
Hi all,
I have added a new service which starts a second httpd instance in
fedora 19. The pid of the process is stored in /run/http-palo directory,
and my problem is that this directory disappears after each reboot.
How can I stop the system from deleting this folder in /run?

Hi all,
Up to fedora 18, I was used to install 32-bit packages in my 64-bit
system by adding the ".i686" as suffix for the package.
However, this does not seem to work for some packages in fedora 19. For

Hi all,
I have upgraded a pc from fedora 18 to 19, and I am left with an ugly
grub2 boot loader.
So, I have removed packages grub2, grub2-tools, erased
/etc/default/grub, re-installed them, and run:

||grub2-mkconfig -o /boot/grub2/grub.cfg|

Hi all,
Gnome (for some reason) takes all my cpu power under fedora 20 64 bit.
And if I kill ibus-deamon, the session still runs. But I cannot kill
gnome-shell.
When ever I start a computation, gnome-shell kicks in, and takes *all*
cpu. For example, when running (a single threaded) Tcl/Tk pro

Hi all,
I am facing a problem booting Fedora 17: the pc freezes unless I use
"acpi=off" in kernel parameters, in grub.
If I use acpi=off, fedora boots and works ok, but cannot power off the
pc after a shutdown.
How can I solve this issue?

Is your system running a DNS server? If you are running one, is it supposed to
be servicing requests from the Internet? If it is suppose
may just be DNSSEC EDNS0 protocol which is being blocked by your
ISP's firewall.
But in this case, 53.com does not support DNSSEC (never just a bank!)
It would be good if you could ask your ISP for a packet capture (say
in pcap format) which you could analyze off line.
