alright, I have the following issue: I was experimenting with mounting SMB
shares on my machine lately, and mounted a remote share to a local folder
(no special commands passed, just a standard mount). What I did not know was
that mount seems to remove all files resident in the mount-fol

Hey all,
could anyone recommend a distributed compilation system that runs both
on *nix and Windows machines? I mostly do the actual coding under Linux,

Yes, when you are doing a group install (say, of GNOME) via Yum you are
only pulling a pre-grouped set of packages. All these packages are still
available on an individual basis, and you can install them individually as
needed.

GTK is written in C, so you should have no problem with bindings. If your
build system complains about dependencies, just pull the relevant developer
package (they almost always end with "-devel", for example mypackage-devel).

does anyone know if there is any way (by plugin or otherwise) to get
horizontal workspaces that can have windows stretched across them in
Gnome3? This could be done with compiz in Gnome2, and it was a huge part of

Assuming I have a package installed from updates-testing, is there any
simple away (apart from erasing and reinstalling) to replace it with the
equivalent package from the normal updates repository? Trying to avoid
breaking dependencies.

Its true that 19 is a dev build, but still, it all worked before, and that
is the main issue. I cannot remember making any significant changes. Videos
simply stopped playing.
