I got it working.
I d/l the tar.gz file.
It includes some 32-bit libs in a dir called lib32. Some don't work (hangs on
alsa sound), so I did
mv lib32 lib32.save
Then install each i686 dep that was missing.
These included:
SDL_mixer.i686
SDL_image.i686
