Jay Sorg, author of xrdp, looked at my vpaste log and
had me upgrade
xorgxrdp-0.2.2-1.fc26.x86_64
to
xorgxrdp-0.2.10-1.fc30.x86_64
# dnf --enablerepo=* upgrade
And that solved the issue!
