It's on my f28 box:
$ rpm -q -f /usr/bin/nm-applet
network-manager-applet-1.8.10-2.fc28
Fedora 28 (and the fusion lists) appears not to provide the
network-manager-applet. Am I looking in the wrong place, or is it no longer
distributed?

Bonjour,
There is something wrong with this applet in f24: when the computer
resumes from suspend, the applet shows as if the network was not
connected. In fact it is connected but, it impossible to change the
connection, ie.: if before going to suspend, the computer was connected
on a wifi, it is
Very impressive response. After ruining my eyesight by staring at the
animation, it finally dawned. The **Notification Area** was missing. Adding it
solved the problem.
Many thanks!

Try searching for network instead, because that's part of the applet's

After last night's upgrade, the Network Manager applet in the KDE tray
now appears as a red X. Clicking on it produces a message that the
network manager isn't running, and that I should please start it. In
fact networking seems to be running just fine. Has anyone else seen
this?
