Maybe show us what you're seeing?

5.1.16-300.fc30.x86_64
[root@f29bk ~]# rpm -q kmod-wl
This is for my broadcom wifi from non-free rpmfusion.
It seems a bad thing for me to do this update.
Recommendations?
