Hi,
I've failed these last days to edit my keyboard layout and add compose
shortcuts on a fedora 30 (5.4.17-100.fc30.x86_64) with gnome 3.32.2 on wayland.
For keyboard layout when editing /usr/share/X11/xkb files I can replace some

And for that matter, why? Once he's specified that the system's
supposed to use the French layout, it shouldn't matter what other
layouts he has installed.

With the installation of F23 I now have an indicator/applet in the top
panel allows switching between languages and altering the keyboard layout.
I have no need or want of that indicator.
How can I get rid of it, permanently?
Thanks.

hi,
I installed fedora 19 desktop edition and am having some trouble with
the keyboard layout (in the standard gnome3 shell).
What I need is this layout:
$ setxkbmap -query
rules: evdev
model: pc104
layout: us
variant:intl
options:kpdl:kposs
but what I get is:
$ setxkbmap

Wrong list. Unreleased versions of Fedora should be discussed on the

I´ve been using Fedora 17 Alpha on a Dual-core Opteron server with ATI
X1600 gfx card and dual head display (two 19" LED LCD screens).
So far so good, but two notes, one on performance the other on usability:
1. Dragging windows across one screen to the other shows a noticiable
slowdown vs Fedora

Each time I remove the USA layout from keyboard preferences, and the

Someone else mentioned this on the devel list and I have had the same problem.
Look for .rpmnew files related to keyboard config somewhere in /etc
and then replace the config with the rpmnew file.

In fedora 12, dispite setting the keyboard language to UK, every time I
boot the machine, it resets to US. Is this a known issue, or is there
some way of getting this change to stick that I am not seeing?
Any advice?

I'm using a generic brazilian abnt2 keyboard in Fedora 12. The
keyboard layout is missing two keys: the (slash/question mark) at the
left of the right shift key and the dot in the numeric keypad over the
enter key.
The map is correct in Fedora 10. How to edit the map to include those

Dear All,
Is there some way of changing the keyboard layout in Tsclient
(corresponding to the '-k' option of rdesktop)? I have checked all
available options, but found nothing.
Thanks in advance,
