Yes, why compile it in, when you can link with the existing openssl. That way the ssl stuff gets updated in one place in case a bug is found. This is how it is done in Fedora. So, in other words you should be able to use SSL in postgresql if you have openssl installed. /Uno 2011/4/11 Joel Rees
