When gnome-software runs for the first time it asks you if you would like
to enable third party repos. how can I disable having users enable third
party stuff? I found org.gnome.software enable-repos-diaog=true but turning
that off still has the dialog but asks for passwd.

ed to know if there was an easier way.
dnf-automatic looks small enough that I could modify for my purpose.

I handle hundreds of workstations, I am not about to manually update
everyone. dnf-automatic the best choice right now.

Is there a way to have fedora workstation to update on shutdown? When a
user logs off or shutdown there box I would like fedora to pkcon update -y
or dnf upgrade -y. I thought about creating a systemd unit file to do this
but would that conflict with offline update?

Just encountered a problem with my monitors not waking after dpms. I just
got an intel hades nuc with vegaM graphics. My previous system with intel
graphics and same monitors did not have this problem.
What package do I make a bugziila report on?

I have uefi pxe boot setup and working fine. grub.cfg has different
menu options pointing to different kickstart files for different
systems.
Is there a way to have grub load different grub.cfg files accourding
to its MAC? I read some docs saying grub.cfg-01- but does not
work.
Thanks.
#cat /e
Part of the script did work, that confused me. I found the cause, selinux.
When /etc/rc.d/rc.local is created the file gets it permission from the
directory its in. In this case etc_t, I saw other init files had
initrc_exec_t so I changed rc.local to initrc.exec_t and it worked.

I would like to add a printer at system startup if one is not present.
I created /etc/rc.d/rc.local and made the file executable
if [ ! -f "/etc/cups/ppd/Officejet-6700.ppd" ]; then
/sbin/lpadmin -p Officejet-6700 -o printer-is-shared=false -L "Office" -E
-v hp:/net/Officejet_6700?ip=172.16.0.2
I did have that wrong, Thanks. I also needed -m
lsb/usr/HP/hp-officejet_6700.ppd.gz instead of -P

I am trying to configure a network printer using lpadmin so I can put the
command in a kickstart file. yes gnome print installs is correctly but I
would like to have configured at install time. I need to use the hpcups
driver not hpijs.
$lpinfo --make-and-model "HP Officejet 6700" -m
drv:///hp/hpi
I've been playing around with kickstart to install workstations and need
this to start graphically:
# Start graphical environment on boot
xconfig --startxonboot
Is this correct in the wayland world? Last few releases defaults to wayland
instead of X. Will I get gdm on wayland?
Thanks

Having many boxes to setup I decided to setup a local repo of fedora. I
setup vsftpd for this repo. I won't go into every step unless someone asks.
Either through pxe or netinst boot I'm able to boot into anacanda and setup
everything except the software packages. Everything in the software spoke

I've setup a kdc server and I'm able to kinit from my client and get a
ticket for ssh, nfs. I'm noticing nfs slow to mount, and disconnects
randomly when mounted with sec=krb5p. When I mount insecurely this does not
happen. I read that this has to do with gss but have not found a solution.
