I'm running Fedora Workstation 28. What software can I use to install a
downloaded OS .ISO onto a USB stick so the OS can be installed on
another machine?
There are many others but install the mediawriter package to get the official Fedora utility.

Yes, that might be a typo, just leave off the @ sign, e.g. "yum install
enlightenment" I have it installed here and it works very nicely.

/etc/grub.conf, and the quoted command "password --md5 'passwordhash'" returns
an error.
I'm at my limit here of trying to figure this out, so if anyone can help it
would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

assumed that it would work now. I haven't tried using it since because
I don't like extensions generally and pressing ALT is easy enough.
Hopefuly someone will fix the bug soon though.

In addition to holding down the ALT key, you can install the extension
that provides the Shutdown option:
yum install gnome-shell-extension-alternative-status-menu

The On/Off switch is right there under the Network icon. Are you
saying it doesn't work for you?

It's not installed by default; it's called gnome-documents. You can
install it in the terminal with yum install gnome-documents or search
Add/Remove Software for it.

sn't even
mention this issue at all! Not even in the chapter about Recommended
Partitioning. It appears to be just continued word for word from the
previous release. I downloaded the Installation Guide specifically to
be able to read about this in more detail, but alas that's not

I may not be understanding, but why can't you use Alt-Tab and Alt-~
for this, or alternately click the icon in the dash without moving
over to the desktops? That works here for me. Is there something about
the dual displays that prevents this?

One other thing you might need for video is dvd playback. In addition
to libdvdread and libdvdnav, which are in the rpmfusion repos, you'll
also need libdvdcss, which you can get from here:
http://packages.atrpms.net/dist/f15/libdvdcss/
Hope this helps.

Go to http://rpmfusion.org and follow the directions to add their
repositories. Then do yum search gstreamer in the terminal for all the
good-bad-ugly-ffmpeg entries.

As a workaround, use Gnome Disk Utility, (search yum for
gnome-disk-utility if not already installed.) Hopefully it's available
for F10, I wouldn't know for sure. Hope this helps.

It's now Control-Delete.
