Hi,
I upgraded F27 yesterday night and I cannot start sddm this morning. I
just get a black screen with the mouse.
Here is the output of systemctl status sddm:
● sddm.service - Simple Desktop Display Manager
Loaded: loaded (/usr/lib/systemd/system/sddm.service; enabled;
vendor preset: disabled)
I'm currently running Fedora 26.
I have several fonts that are in PCF format that I'd like to create an
RPM for.
I used to have them in an RPM, but that RPM no longer works so I need
to rebuild it.
How do I install these fonts into Fedora 26 and does this method still
hold for later versions of

I also see display-manager.service was enabled, that didn't seem to ever
help though.

Just remember, you only need one of them active.

Try running:
systemctl enable sddm
and
systemctl start sddm
I sit corrected; I told him to type what I would, forgetting that he
uses sddm, not lightdm.

Display managers are separate from the desktop environments. You can
mix or match if you want.

[Please don't top-post on the list]
If you're running a display manager, why are you using startx?

Just to close the loop... While restarting sshd did not get rid of the
