One of my usual post-Fedora upgrade rituals is to reset the default plymouth
theme back to solar. There's a long-standing bug with system upgrades always
resetting the plymouth theme to the default "charge". That bug is somewhere
in Bugzilla, gathering dust.

I've solved the problem. It has to do with using either Wayland versus Xorg. I
search for Gnome bugs relating to logging in and found one that said to edit
/etc/gdm/custom.conf. From the script fragment below, uncomment the line below
to force the login screen to use Xorg, save and reboot

No joy. Dnf won't let me install the F25 rpmfusion nonfree because it
requires that 25 is installed. It's a Catch-22.
So, I just removed rpmfusion nonfree as a repository, and it upgraded
fine. I vaguely remember something like this with 24 as well -- having to
remove some third party reposit

You might try `restorecon -Rv /home` (as root) to reset SELinux
contexts. I don't see why this would have been damaged during an

What is the difference between installing F25 with KDE from the KDE spin and
installing from the netinst CD and choosing KDE interface? The latter is what I
normally do as it gives me the latest packages from the start.

has anybody managed to get ypbind working with f25? If so, how?
ypbind used to work with fc25 prereleases[1,2], but with the post
fc25-release update to ypbind-1.38-6.fc26.x86_64, ypbind fails at
system startup/when booting.
