Fedora 20 Mate System Sounds

Hi, I've been running Fedora Mate 20 for about 6 months and it is admirable. Everythng appears to work except for my system sounds, example: login sound, shutdown sound, etc... I've tried everything I know and can't seem to get them working. I've loaded the few sounds themes available to me.
