The program you want, oddly enough, is named convert. It's part of the
ImageMagic package. As it happens, I just used it today to change some

it hangs after "starting Live Fedora" message. I have tried both x64 and

I don't know. You could use the Fedora .config which usually resides
in /boot after installing a Fedora kernel.
